Ringtone Maker
If you have ever wanted to make a custom ringtone to have a sense of originality, then here are a few procedures that will get you started.
Ringtone Maker – Steps to Creating
First, if you plan on making your very own ringtone, you’ll need the right software. There are quite a few different ringtone software’s out there, but essentially they all do the same thing.
The basic process involves loading your audio files from your computer into the software. From there, you can edit multiple files into one, cut out certain parts, or do just about anything to customize your very own ringtone.

To give you some insight into the process, we downloaded the AVS Audio Tools software, which includes a ringtone maker option in it. It’s a free download if you don’t mind the logos, so don’t be scared away by the paid version. Here’s a quick link for those who want to try out this software: AVS Tools Download.
Once installed, start the software and you’ll see a welcome screen with 10 tools for managing your audio files. There are 3 basic steps to this process using the software.
Ringtones in 3 Easy Steps
- First, use the “make music mix” tool. Once in there, the first thing you do is select the “new mix project option”, where you will be able to upload your audio files into the system. Once you have the songs and sound effects you want to use, click and drag them from the left side onto the main screen. You’ll then be able to select which parts of your song you want by simply dragging a box over those parts of the song.
- After you save your ringtone, go back to the welcome screen. Click on the “make ringtone/realtone” tool. In the left side of the screen, locate and select the ringtone you made in the previous step. Once selected, it will appear in the main screen to show the different areas of your ringtone. You can then further edit it some more with the features at the top, or listen to what you have so far with the play button at the bottom. An example of editing here, the fade out tool at the top will end your ringtone with the song/sound slowly fading away to start over again from the beginning.
- When you are done editing your ringtone, hit the upload button in the bottom right of the screen. It will ask you which format your phone supports, so make sure you know that one. From here, you can select the “find devices” button, which will locate your wireless connection and upload the ringtone. That’s it. If you don’t have a wireless connection, you will have to check to see if you can use a USB cord and connect it to your computer and phone.
This is just an example of a ringtone maker software that is used for this process. There are plenty of others out there that are just as good. Good luck and happy creativity!
